Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Program

Princess Majda School Students / (EIP) Unit




  • Assessments Stanford–Binet Intelligence Scales (Fifth Edition), standardized for the Jordanian context.




  • Provide Classroom sessions for students




  • Individual and group psychosocial support sessions.




  • Promote emotional expression and emotional regulation skills.




  • Develop social skills and enhance self-confidence.




  • Implement interactive activities through students’ psychosocial support groups.




  • Follow up on cases referred from different association programs and from parents.

Parents




  • Conduct meetings with parents to discuss children’s needs.




  • Provide family counseling to promote positive parenting practices.




  • Facilitate psychosocial support groups for mothers.

Projects




  • Implement training sessions and awareness activities on mental health and psychosocial support.




  • Raise awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities and promote their inclusion in society.

Training and Capacity Building




  • Train staff on effective communication and interpersonal skills.




  • Train staff on child protection from abuse and appropriate response mechanisms.




  • Train staff on the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities No. (20) of 2017.
