As part of the “Tarabot” project, and in cooperation with COOPI, Al Hussein Society – Jordan Center for Training and Inclusion launched a series of structured training sessions targeting parents of students with disabilities and special educational needs in Liwa Al-Jame’a, with the aim of strengthening their ability to support their children within home and educational environments.
The trainings focused on concepts of early intervention, mechanisms for early identification of disabilities, differentiated education strategies, and the promotion of academic independence and life skills development. The sessions included practical activities and hands-on exercises that enabled parents to directly apply the acquired skills in their daily lives.
Participants’ engagement reflected the tangible positive impact of the first workshop, as many parents expressed the practical benefits they had already started applying in their interactions with their children. They emphasized that the training helped them better understand their children’s needs and provided them with practical tools and approaches that made a clear difference in their family lives.
Several participants also affirmed that Al Hussein Society – Jordan Center for Training and Inclusion left a genuine and positive impact on their lives, which motivated the team to continue reaching other targeted areas within the project.
The first training group was successfully completed, while upcoming trainings will continue in Al-Quwaysimah, Mafraq, and Irbid, contributing to expanding the project’s outreach and strengthening its community impact.
